The Politicologenetmaal – traditionally lasting 24 hours – offers (aspiring) political scientists the opportunity to present their research, get acquainted with the work of their peers, learn about new studies, and lay the groundwork for future publications or projects. Organized on behalf of the Dutch and Flemish political science associations, it is a forum to discuss plans for future research and to establish collaborations with fellow researchers. “political scientists in practice” – political scientists working in non-academic roles – have the opportunity at the Etmaal to catch up on the latest developments in the field. They can also share their real-world experiences with academics, thus providing them with valuable insights. For both groups, theory and practice can reinforce each other. And personal connections can receive an extra boost. We encourage participants to become members of NKWP or VPW and get a discount in registration.
